Hello,

Did anybody already joined an AD or LDAP with there OV2500 rel 4.2?

The test is successful but when I apply the configuration there is an error message and the settings a out back to the default setting.

Hi Bruno, yes I already joined an AD successfully with OV2500 4.2.x. One issue might be, that name resolution is not working properly. Can you check, if you can resolve name and IP Address of your DomainController from OV? Attached a screenshot from settings from a working Lab Setup.

Hi, not sure what the issue was – but there was one with 4.2.2. With 4.3R1 (available since june) all is okay. It work at us without issue. So you should do an update.

Update from Support.
Our netbios name can be at most 15 chars long, “SRV-OMNIVISTA2500” is 17 chars long
Invalid configuration. Exiting….
Failed to join domain: The format of the specified computer name is invalid.
ADS join did not work, falling back to RPC…
