Number of switches in a stack (AOS6/8)

Hi,

When configuring stacks in the past, we have always tried to limit the size of stacks to maximum 3 switches. We mainly used OS6450 switches, but now we're transitioning to OS6560 series switches.

Is there still a reason to limit the size of stacks? What's the best practice here? And what's the reasoning?

For both product lines a stack of eight (8) is possible. This is what is being supported and tested as part of our Software Quality Assurance (SQA) processes.
