UPDATE UBOOT ON OS2260

Topic

I’m trying to update uboot on a 2260 switch but it’s not possible
returns the following error:

-> update uboot cmm all file /flash/OS2260_5.2.23.R03_GA-UBOOT.gz
Starting CMM ALL UBOOT Upgrade

ERROR:
CMM 1/1 – Update file is not .bin or .tar.gz

it seems that the file is not a .tar.gz

can someone help

thanks

Yes, very strange. I have the zip file from MyPortal. When i unzip i have different *.bin files inside.

I updated OS2260P10 with the u-boot-mips-rtl9300.bin file without issues. (I checked corresponding chip with "show module long 1")

But with a OS2260P24 it returns: update uboot cmm all file /flash/u-boot-mips-rtl9300.bin Starting CMM ALL UBOOT UpgradeERROR: CMM 1/1 - Update file is not .bin or .tar.gz

Would you like to try again following the guide below?

=============================================================== Given below is the step by step procedure to upgrade the uboot version:

1. Download and extract the upgrade archive from the Service & Support website. In addition to the AOS images, the archive may also contain a Uboot file, for example.

u-boot.5.1R02.1.gz

2. FTP (Binary) the file to the /flash directory on the primary CMM.

3. If desired, a Uboot upgrade can then be performed, for example:

update uboot cmm all file /flash/u-boot.5.1R02.1.gz Starting CMM ALL UBOOT Upgrade Please wait... CMM 1/1 u-boot-ppc_2040.bin: OK U-boot successfully updated Successfully updated.

4. Once complete, a reboot is required.

Note: AOS must be upgraded prior to performing a Uboot upgrade.
