When the network can't stop: ALE's ruggedized portfolio expands

May 07, 2026

Industrial networks demand more

Digital transformation is pushing connectivity deeper into factories, railways, substations and smart cities. In these environments, the network is not just infrastructure, it is a critical system. It must operate in extreme temperatures, resist vibration and EMI, deliver precise timing and stay secure, without interruption.

ALE's ruggedized OmniSwitch portfolio has been answering that challenge for years. With the addition of the OmniSwitch 6575 family, it is now ready for a new generation of industrial deployments.

A portfolio built for the harshest conditions

ALE's hardened switching family covers the full range of industrial edge requirements:

  • OmniSwitch 6465: compact DIN rail switch, -40°C to +75°C, 60W PoE, MACsec, PTP 1588v2, PROFINET, certified for Railway, Marine, Power Substations and ITS
  • OmniSwitch 6465T: extended temperature half-rack switch for Metro Ethernet, Smart Buildings and Transportation, MEF 3.0 and plenum certified
  • OmniSwitch 6865: advanced Layer 3 aggregation with SPB-M fabric, 75W PoE, hot-swap power supplies and Military/Marine certifications

All models run AOS, integrate with OmniVista for unified management and support Zero-Touch Provisioning, delivering consistent IT/OT operations across the entire network.

OmniSwitch 6575: expanding the industrial edge

The OmniSwitch 6575 is the newest member of the family, designed to capture market segments where the existing portfolio could not fully reach.

Three complementary form factors address distinct deployment scenarios:

  • OS6575-P12: DIN rail, 90W PoE++, 360W PoE budget, MACsec-256, SPB, for roadside cabinets and industrial access.
  • OS6575-U28: fanless 1RU rack, fiber-rich, dual PSU, MACsec-256, SPB for clean-edge and aggregation deployments.
  • OS6575-MP16: the standout: M12 D/X-code connectors, IP67 protection, bypass ports and 30/60W PoE, engineered specifically for rolling stock, AGVs and harsh manufacturing environments.

No fans. No limits. OmniSwitch 6575 Industrial Switch

Discover the OmniSwitch 6575, a compact and rugged industrial Ethernet switch designed to perform in the most demanding environments.

The MP16 is a genuine differentiator, purpose-built for in-vehicle and factory-floor deployments where standard connectors and enclosures simply are not enough. The 6575 familiy brings MACsec-256 on every port, SPB, nanosecond PTP timing with SyncE, fabric-based segmentation and Zero-Touch Provisioning via OmniVista.

One AOS from the campus to the demanding environments

Most vendors offer ruggedized hardware. Few extend the same management, security policies and automation framework from the enterprise core all the way to the industrial edge. With ALE, a customer already running OmniVista manages their 6575s on the factory floor the same way they manage their campus network: same visibility, same policy enforcement, same Zero-Touch workflows.

As IT and OT continue to converge, that operational continuity is not a nice-to-have. It's a competitive advantage.
