Meet AIVA: OmniVista 10.6.1 brings AI, a cleaner UI, and tighter security

Sep 03, 2026

Managing a network isn't just configuration — it's chasing down slow sites, investigating for root causes, and automating the things nobody should still do by hand.

OmniVista 10.6.1 is built around exactly that. Here's what's new for users running and managing the network, day to day.

🤖 Ask AIVA, OmniVista AI Assistant and skip the hunting
AIVA is OmniVista's new embedded AI assistant. Ask questions in plain language — why is Site B slow? how do I configure this SSID? — and get a clear, sourced answer, plus guided help for routine tasks. It explains its reasoning and never acts without your approval. Full workflow automation lands in next version to come soon.

🎨 A cleaner user interface, a faster way to get what you need
New header, unified menus, Quick Access & Favorites. Fewer clicks between a question and its answer — and it's just step one of the UX overhaul.

🚨 Fewer surprises
Deeper OmniVista Network Advisor Edge integration means anomalies get caught, explained, and (if you allow it) fixed before they become tickets. Root cause and predictive maintenance included.

☁️ One platform, your scale
Same features, UI and APIs on Cirrus (cloud) or Terra (on-prem).
Plus broader device support: legacy AOS6, third-party via SNMP, and new OmniSwitch 6370/6350/6450/6870.

⚙️ Less clicking, more scripting
A new CLI scripting tool automates repetitive ops, with built-in helpers and auto-emailed logs. Heatmaps are now 3D — capacity planning in minutes, not an afternoon.

🔒 Tighter security, no extra cost
UPAM adds EAP-TLS with local/external authorization and CoA/DM support. NAC, zero-trust and IoT enforcement stay included, not upsold.

🌍 Now in your language
Chinese, Japanese, German and Spanish added, alongside English and French.

🔄 Still on OmniVista version 4 or OmniVista 2500?
A migration tool moves your config to OmniVista newest version automatically. A buyback program helps offset the move.

The bottom line: less time assembling evidence across five tools, fewer escalations without context, more room for the projects you keep postponing.
