Unlocking Multi-Vendor Support: Alcatel-Lucent OmniVista® Network Advisor Now Integrates Third-Party Devices
OmniVista Network Advisor Evolution
The latest evolution in OmniVista Network Advisor capabilities empowers users to monitor a wider range of network devices, offering flexibility and greater customization in managing network health and performance.
Expanding Intelligence Beyond ALE Devices
OmniVista Network Advisor, our intelligent and autonomous network companion, has been providing AI-driven guidance and remediation for Alcatel-Lucent's OmniSwitch® and OmniAccess® Stellar Access Points.
💡Now, this powerful tool is opening its capabilities to third-party devices, such as firewalls and access points from other vendors, enhancing its ability to detect anomalies and offer tailored solutions across more complex, multi-vendor environments.
By leveraging the Rainbow™ CPaaS platform, OmniVista Network Advisor delivers real-time, dynamic alerting and remediation, ensuring critical issues are resolved promptly.

Customized Alerts and Remediations for Your Unique Network
The new capability allows users to define custom anomalies and create specific remediation actions tailored to their unique network environments.
With the ability to collect and analyze syslogs from compatible third-party devices, OmniVista Network Advisor enables users to configure custom alerts and automate responses based on these insights, helping to maintain an optimal, secure network state.
Real life example: FortiGate IPS Custom Anomaly
This custom anomaly for OmniVista Network Advisor has been created to integrate with the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) of Fortinet FortiGate devices.
- When the FortiGate IPS detects an attack, a notification is sent that includes a suggested remediation action (blocking the attacker).
- This action generates a syslog message or a REST call to OmniVista.
- OmniVista then leverages its Quarantine Manager feature to isolate the attacker on managed OmniSwitches or the Blocklist feature to isolate the attacker on managed Stellar Access Points.
Flexible Subscription Options Available
To accommodate varying customer needs, OVNA subscriptions are offered in one-year, three-year, and five-year terms, available for ordering now.
With the release of OmniVista Network Advisor 1.4, customers will also gain access to custom remediation support, allowing for user-defined responses on third-party devices, provided the necessary connections and permissions are configured.
This release reinforces our commitment to creating adaptable, high-performance networks.
