Wi-Fi 7 goes outdoors: next-gen connectivity with the OmniAccess Stellar AP1561 & AP1570

Dec 10, 2025

The OmniAccess Stellar family continues to evolve with the release of Wi-Fi 7 outdoor access points designed for harsh environments. The AP1561 and AP1570 Series bring next-generation wireless performance outdoors, combining high throughput, advanced Wi-Fi 7 features, and ruggedized design to support modern enterprise and IoT deployments.

Wi-Fi 7 Performance, Built for Scale

Both the AP1561 and AP1570 Series support up to 9.328 Gbps of aggregate throughput, distributed across: • 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz • ~2.88 Gbps on 5 GHz • ~5.76 Gbps on 6 GHz

These access points support the IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standard, enabling higher efficiency, enhanced throughput, and improved spectral usage across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.

The AP1561 and AP1570 Series also support advanced Wi-Fi 7 capabilities including OFDMA, MU-MIMO (downlink and uplink), high-order modulation (up to 4096-QAM), Target Wake Time (TWT), and compressed block acknowledgments. Together, these features ensure optimal spectrum efficiency, increased network capacity, and improved energy efficiency.

Designed for Outdoor Deployments and Harsh Conditions

Both models are IP67-rated, meaning they are fully protected against dust and water ingress and are suitable for exposure to rain, humidity, and extreme environmental conditions. Radio configurations are flexible: while 6 GHz delivers the full benefits of Wi-Fi 7, in regions or regulatory domains where outdoor 6 GHz operation is restricted, the access points can fall back to 5 GHz operation — ensuring consistent performance and regulatory compliance.

Security, Management, and Deployment Flexibility

The AP1561 and AP1570 series include built-in support for modern security standards, including WPA3 for wireless clients and optional uplink encryption via IEEE 802.1ae MACsec. This is particularly important for outdoor deployments where wired backhaul or PoE infrastructure may be exposed.

Both access points integrate seamlessly with the OmniVista Network Management Platform, available as either a cloud-based or on-premises solution. A core component of the OmniAccess Stellar DNA is its controllerless (distributed) architecture. This design reduces complexity, lowers total cost of ownership (TCO), and simplifies network scaling — especially valuable for large outdoor and campus-wide deployments.

The OmniAccess Stellar AP1561 and AP1570 Series provide a future-proof wireless foundation for next-generation outdoor networking. As IoT, smart infrastructure, and connected devices continue to expand, the need for solutions that combine performance, scalability, security, and ruggedness has never been greater!

These Wi-Fi 7 outdoor access points are designed to support dense, heterogeneous, and mission-critical wireless deployments where throughput, latency, device capacity, and reliability are essential.
