os2220-p8 vlan ports
Topic
Hi client currently has a a number of ALE 6450 switches connected with a combination of fibres and patch leads. Each switch has two VLANs 2 (tagged for PC network) and VLAN 66 (untagged for IP phones). The interconnection of the switches is programmed by tagging the connections (vlan 2 and 66) , this is working fine.
The client has one class room and has installed a os2220-p8
We have programmed vlan 2 tagged and vlan 66 untagged on ports 1-7
we have programmed Tagged VLAN 66 & 2 on port and connected to a similar port on the ALE 6540 but these (trunked ports) don’t seem to connect to the network. We tried a straight cable to VLAN 2 to the ALE 6450 switch and it communicates fine as expected.
Therefore within the os2220-p8 are the tagged/trunked ports compatible with the ALE switches protocol.
Thank you in advance.
