Trap Reponder - not sending emails.

Hi all,

We are having issues setting up the trap responder on OmniVista 2500 NMS 4.3R1 GA (Build 51, 05/31/2018).
The email settings seems to be right as the test e-email is received.
However, when we set up a trap responder for send an email when warning trap for all AP groups is received, no email is sent.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Hello,

Regarding the email setup, have you used the email settings found under Administrator -> System Settings -> Email ? There is a similar email settings option under UPAM, but this second email setup is used only for UPAM.

In your Trap Responder, have you added any filters, or are you just matching the severity level? If you want to generate an email when any 'warning' notification arrives, then leave the filter option blank.

I quickly setup a responder on my system, incluing all AP groups, and setting the severity to 'normal', and then I rebooted an AP which generated a 'normal' trap and I recieved the email correctly after a minute or so.

Hello Mike,
Yes, I used the email settings under Administrator>System Settings>Email, not the UPAMs. Yes, I’m just matching the serverity level to keep it simple. I know other workmates who experienced the same issue. Which OV version are you using?
