Starting with AOS release 8.10R4, selected models from our hardened product portfolio support the PROFINET protocol.
This capability extends the role of our switches beyond traditional telecom environments. These devices can now be deployed directly within industrial automation networks, operating alongside PROFINET controllers and I/O devices, rather than only conventional networking equipment.
In this demo, we will demonstrate how to install the PROFINET software package on our switches and how to configure them so they are properly discovered and recognized by PROFINET engineering and supervision systems.
